What you’ll learn
Are you interested in computer science and know you want to transfer to earn your four-year degree, but want to do it without spending a fortune? Start your degree right by taking your first two years at Lane before transferring to earn your bachelors degree. Whether you’re interested in hardware engineering, database administration, software development, or research, see why starting your computer science degree at Lane will be your best two years.
Lane’s ASOT-Computer Science was developed in conjunction with the Oregon University System to allow you to transfer to an Oregon public university with junior standing. By earning your degree, you’ll meet the general education requirements at many four-year institutions, while broadening your knowledge in computer science.
Whether you’re looking to start your career as soon as you’ve earned your bachelors degree or you’re planning to continue on to graduate school, your two years at Lane will make sure you’re prepared for whatever comes next. The courses you'll take in science, math, writing, social sciences, and cultural literacy will provide you with the foundation you need to meet the general education requirements at most four-year institutions, while still being able to focus on your passion for computer science. No matter what your plan, our advisors will help you craft a plan to achieve your goals.
